favorite manual
I load old cartridges like, 7x57 & 8x57 mausers, 38-55 winchester, 375 winchester, 300 Savage & 280 Remington, so what's your favorite manual ??

My favorite is loaddata.com.
They have recipes from all the published manuals plus member-submitted loads.

I also subscribe to loaddata.com. Outstanding. I did pick up the latest Hornady manual and they have every cartridge you listed. It's the most complete line up I've seen in some time.

I use loaddata.com too and also powder makers cites like those from Aliance.
I don't care too much for paper manuals since they cannnot be carrried around. They are just not handy. I usually buy supplies on the net and use data from the net for those purchases. When I am ready to start re-loading at my bench, I check at least one paper sources to ensure that the suggested load from the Net is OK. The RCBS book is good for this purpose. The other good thing about paper is that ammo dimensions - like overall length are given. This is very important for avoiding pressure issues and making sure your ammo will chamber correctly with a given bowit. |

My favorite manual is the Nosler #6, until I get the #7.
I can get load data from any one of the Powder companies websites on the internet.

Don't rely on one manual !
I use the Lyman manual as a reference . I prefer to use the bullet makers manual , with the powder makers manual , my second choice . I always reference any load to make sure I'm starting out "in the ballpark" !
