Terrible Service From Hogue

I tried to buy some grip screws off of Hogue's website last night. When I clicked to complete the order, their site crashed. I wrote to customer service by email and also left a VM describing the problem and asking if someone could call the next day to tell me if my card had been charged.

Nothing.

I called them at 5pm EST and asked about the problem. The girl on the phone made it very clear that MY problem was not HER problem and that they didn't have time to track-down each and every order they receive. "We're very busy here." She then told me if I wanted the screws I should try entering the order again and hung up.

Instead of doing that, I'll find someone else to buy them from. The free market is a wonderful thing.

Disgusting --- I think Houge is still family owned --- see if you cna work your way up the food chain and get some satisfaction on this --- they might thank you as people on th ephone like that can kill a busness quicker than jsut about anything else, fire and flood included at times, god knows I'd want to know

That's appalling, but not surprising all things considered.

Did you ask for a free-bee? They sent me a monogrip nut last time I asked.

I've always received excellent service from Hogue. I wonder if you shouldn't call in again and ask to speak to a "higher-up," as another poster suggested.

Your order may still show up...

Watch for it in the proper amount of lag time...

When the Firingline crashes the info seems to magically reappear after the repairs are done.

Maybe the check is in the mail...

I would call my credit card company, they can tell you if the charge has shown up on your account. And a letter might be in order here, avoid the phone sales people.
By the way, I've gotten in the habit of writing down the name of the person I talk to when I call a business for service. Knowing their name can help on follow up calls.
