Changing Hammer Spring on Beretta 92, Help

I'm attempting to change the hammer spring in my 92 to a lighter 17 lb one. The problem is, I can't get the lanyard pin out. I've watched the video on beretta92fs.com and it doesn't work anything like that. For one thing it seems the pin on my gun is hollow, and the one on there's is solid.

What is it I'm doing wrong? Does it require a lot of force to get it out? Because in the video is looks like it just slides easily out.

That hollow pin is called a roll pin. You need to get a punch (a pin punch, NOT a prick punch) that just barely fits inside the hole in the frame, and tap it out with a hammer, or use a great big C-clamp a little off-kilter to press it out. BE CAREFUL. When that pin comes out, the 2o lb. spring turns your mainspring housing/lanyard loop into a ballistic missile. Wear goggles, and use a well-padded hand to keep that thing from becoming airborne.
