Best holster material?

What is the best holster material to preserve the finish on a gun? I would think that nylon would be but I've heard leather is easier on a gun's finish.

All holster's are gonna cause wear...That is the nature of the beast..

IMO the easiest on pistols is leather...Course I cannot give a readily unbiased opinion now can I?

Azrael, do you make holsters for guns other than you have on your website? I'm looking for a left hand, strong side, open top, belt holster for my Springfield 5" 1911. Let me know if you're interested, thanks.
