Who makes a great 2-7x scope for 500 ish

Im fixing to put one of these on my m1a zombie/deer rifle. Close enough for the zombies and enough range for deer- should be great as I'm into practicing offhand and wont be doing much long range stuff.

Im a scope newb so no clue here...opinions welcome!

IMO... 2X is too much if a scope is all you have to aim with, you're better off with a 1X. Even that modest reduction in field of view can screw with your depth perception, while a scope on 1X allows easy, both eyes open, aiming. Something to consider anyway.

I know that Sightron makes a 1-7X24 30mm scope for 3-gun competition ("zombie distance" to 3-400 yd targets) that would work well... although it might be a bit out of your price range.

Just off the top of my head: Leupold, Burris, Weaver, Bushnell, probably some others. Nikon makes a 2-8X, and Leupold also makes a 2.5-8X, basically those are in the same magnification range.

If you want less magnification, there are also 1-4x and 1.5-5X scopes on the market. Or a red dot.

Leupold VXII 2-7. Lightest scope in its class. Perfect for a lightweight rifle that you don't want to overbalance. I've got 2 or 3 of them.

Exactly what Im going for its an m1a so its heavy enough
