Sightron SII 3-12x42mm

What's the deal with pricing on these? I could have SWORN that about 6 months ago, the price on the most BASIC version of these was only like $210 or so somewhere, and at the time I remember thinking that was odd (too good to be true), considering that the 3-9x42 models were $199, so only a little bit of difference for a significant increase in magnification. But now they're over $300 everywhere, so I assume what I saw was either a misprint of price (now corrected), or some kind of temporary super-sale? Is there somewhere I can get one for much closer to $200 than $300?
