357 Sig recoil
I've got a 357 Sig conversion barrel in my XDM40 and wanted to know if the 357 Sig does have as much if not a little more recoil than the 40 S&W? The first reload I shot surprised me, it had a louder "bark" and the recoil felt stronger, though not as sharp. There are no pressure signs on the cases and everything looks ok,so I'm sure everythings fine, but I'm just doublechecking .The grouping was as good as I've ever gotten. The first loads were 11.9gr AA#9 under 125gr Berrys HBFP and 125gr HAP's.

You are OK, yes the recoil is sharper than a 40 S&W and yes the retort is louder, higher pressure in a 357 Sig than a 40 S&W. Sounds like everything is normal in your reload.

11.9 is a bit light of a load. I now I run 12.4 as my standard with 124 grn copper bullets but since you have Berry's I cannot say it is equal.
Yes the sig has a bark to it. That is the fun of it.
