Scope for distance shooting with T/C Contender
I'm having a heckuva time finding a better scope for my 14" Contender in .223. Currently I'm using a Bushnell Trophy 2-6x, but even at a short 100 yards, it's just not enough magnification.
I'd like 10 or 12x in a pistol scope. It needn't be anything built to withstand heavy recoil because the .223 doesn't kick much with the light bullets. So far, I've found one, that's it! A Burris 3-12x, for $350. Does anyone else shoot more than 100 yards with a scoped handgun? Suggestions, experience, tips, tricks, comments welcome, PLEASE!

The Burris 3- 12 is the only popular one out there. IMO 12 X through a tiny field of view held at arms length is a real PITA...I personally have done well with bushnell 3200 2-6 power and the leupold 2.5-8 power scopes, and never needed more for ranges out to 300 on the range and 250 or so in the field. Good luck, the burris is a good scope and 12X is more than you'll ever really need.
