was just curious on what others thought. some loads like clays have a tighter tolerance then the others i mentioned. but i heard it burnt real clean...less residue.

No experience with Clays but I have been having excellent results with Titegroup and HS-6. I also like Bullseye but it does seem to be the smokiest and leave more residue on casings after firing.

Have used clays for years in 12 ga competition O/U's, and so nice, looks like you haven't even shot it! I am new to handgun reloading, just starting for 44 mag... and am looking for some clays or universal clays users myself, see my post, "recommeded 44 mag powders"
Good luck! (If it works as good in handguns as it does in shotguns, wow!) Mike |

Some of my "dirtiest" loads use Unique. Which is too bad because it is so versatile for so many loads and calibers. I pretty much only use it for my .400 Cor-Bons now.

hey "Skeet69", i loaded some of the clays up yesterday and it shot clean less recoil. in the 45acp and the 45lc. the only thing is on the 45acp the info that i got is you load between 3.6 grns and 4.0 grns. tolerance is a little tighter as compared to bullseye and unique but i tried those too (glad i have friends that use different powders) and they burn kinda dirty to me as "gangdog" mentioned about unique. but im gonna get some titegroup and try it to sometime.

I currently use Titegroup and Clays. Clays is cleaner IMO.

cleaner
titegroup much cleaner. When I first used bullseye, I thought I got black powder by accident. had to wait for the wind to clear the area before I could see the target again!
