Remington Premier Trap Release button problem
Hi I just bought this Remington Premier Trap gun from an estate liquidation sale and I have a newbe question regarding a problem I'm having with the gun. When I press the release button underneath to load a cartridge it does not work unless I press it several times or press harder. Its not sensitive like my friends gun when you touch the release button on the bottom of his gun it reacts right away and releases. I was thinking of dropping the trigger assembly and giving the assembly a good cleaning and oiling. Do you think this will work or can there be something else wrong with the gun? Is this pretty common with older guns, I think it may have been sitting for a long time?

First thing to do with ANY new purchase is to take it down and give it a good cleaning. Remove any gunk build-up, look for damaged/missing/"bubba-ed" parts, correct as needed, lubricate as directed and THEN test for function.
