NEF caliber conversion
A few days ago I bought a NEF Pardner SB-1 shotgun in .410 gauge, excellent condition for $40. I was wondering would I be able to convert it into another caliber? Its seem that I could by just changing out the barrel, if I can what calibers could I convert it to? I hope 12 gauge is possible.

Marlin/NEF does offer other barrels for it, pop over to their site and it explains how to go about it. Don't remember cost now but it was reasonable,each barrel does require you to send in the reciever for fitting tho.

Leadbutt has it right. It's worth a call to them (need your serial number) to see what you can convert it to. I don't really think the barrels need to be fitted, they didn't need to be for year, I think it's more Marlins way to make sure someone doesn't stick a 45-70 barrel on an old shotgun frame and hurt themselves.
You can still pick up barrels from time to time at shows.

NEF/H&R barrels need to be factory fitted or fitted buy a gunsmith. Your SB1 frame can only be fitted with shotgun barrels. An SB2 frame accepts shotgun and rifle barrels. I have a NEF .223 bull barrel. A few of my hunting buddies have these guns and plenty of barrels to go with them. They are affordable, practical, fun guns. My son is only a month old, but I'm already eyeing the .22/.410 youth combo pack for him.
