has some minor finish issues, but the timing is perfect...trigger is exceptional

A friend of mine has a 1968 example. 4in is a nice length for those. Looks like a nice one. Is the timing ok? You should not be able to move the cylinder out of alignment when the hammer is back (for each chamber) or when the trigger is held back (for each chamber)? I had to send the one I had back to Colt for timing problems.

Sure is a nice looking revolver.

The LGS had two.

The other was a nickle duty gun, carried for decades and the finish was too far gone.

So, instead of both I snagged the blue one.

Let's just say it was safely south of $1K.

Nice looking Python, especially for that price. It's just in the right condition to enjoy -- a bit of wear so you don't feel guilty shooting it, but still looking very nice.

Sevens, they were asking $795, but would probably have taken $700-$750 out the door.

I passed on it at that price.

Even at $600 plus a refin it would have just been a refin'ed Python close to $1K.

They had another vintage 4" in nickle.

But a local LEO had carried it for decades and the finish was shot.

Locked up tight with perfect timing, but I passed on it and bought the blue one.
