Fabrique Nationale Herstal Belgique 9mm

Hi folks
I just inherited 2 pistols from my grandfather. He was a LT Colonel in WWII, but I am not sure if they are from WWII or Vietnam, because my uncle (his son) went to Vietnam and a few other cousins and their friends also.
I know he always kept in a safe and I was told that it was "war trophies"

I would like to know more info about the weapons and the value.
They are:
1- Accu-Tek 9MM, model BL9, serial no 000485, 6 rounds magazine
2- Fabrique Nationale Herstal Belgique, 9mm, 13 + 1 rounds mag, serial #215RN28611, fully auto with case (The case reads Browning)

They both looks not so good, were dry and the FN was still dirty with gun powder. I put a bit of oil (without cleaning) and both fire real good. The FN spray like crazy. I don't know if it was a factory set-up or what. I just fire two magazines on both.
Is the first 9mm fully auto I ever seen.

The AccuTek is a commercial gun from the 1980s.
The FN is possibly a military gun. It has been painted.

The Browning SHOULD NOT be going full auto on you, and if it is, it needs to have the lockwork fixed; otherwise, you're opening yourself up to felony charges under the NFA.

the browning is the model 1935 HI-POWER.look for a mark around the mag release see if you see an eagle stamp its small.has it an extractor like a 1911
inside the slide.if out side its not WW2

If the serial number sequence is true to Brownings' system, it was manfactured in 1979. I can't help you with the Accu-Tec.

Hi, TATA,

I wonder if you are using the correct term. "Full auto" means that the gun fires as long as the trigger is held back, in other words, a machinegun. There were full auto versions of the High Power and they would be illegal to own in the United States unless registered. But the 215 code indicates a standard military type pistol, not a full auto one and there are no signs of a selector mechanism.

The RN is a date code, indicating manufacture in 1979, so the gun is not from WWII, Korea, or Vietnam. It could be from the conflicts in the Middle East.
