Well it's a little late to ask after you already bought one!
But I enjoyed mine. Was a fun plinking rifle, and I always got looks and interested people at the range. Word of warning, though. Just about any cleaning solvent will take off the silver finish. |

So just got done plinking with it. So far so good, we ran 400 rnds and had one jam. Thats pretty good for a new rimfire semi. The mag release loosened up and is working good. It's alot of fun to shoot, even more then I thought it would be. couple weeks I'm gonna shoot a steel challenge comp with it and I'll repost after that. I thought the silver finish was nickel plating?

I have had one for a couple of years.
Pros: Fun to shoot Accurate Lots of aftermarket stuff Cons: Painted finish came off. Had to tear down completely and repaint A bit ammo sensitive Cost |

From what I have read and personally found out CCI Mini Mag is the ticket ammo for the GSG-5. There are other brands that offer good performance but the Mini Mag's seem to be at the top of the chart. Its cleaner shooting stuff than the cheap bulk packs. And I have had few duds if any in around 1000 rds through mine with it. I also have had no problems with the rifle , but I keep it very clean.
