Anybody order gear through Botach Tactical?

I ordered some winter gear from this company as opposed to my normal supplier, and the service has been less than what I would expect. I'm just trying to figure out if this is a fluke or common place.

They're hit or miss at best in my experience. I've gotten some great deals with near next day shipping a couple of times, others I made orders, waited 2-3 weeks and then called only to be informed that my order was canelled because they were out of the item,

I placed an order on Sep23rd and got it about a week ago. All the items showed in stock.

I searched the internet for a pair of the now discontinued Altama ripple sole jungle boots. The same boots I used to pay over $100 dollars for when I was in the army. I found them on Botech for $20 a pair. I was skeptical that they were the real things and not knock offs so I bought 1 pair. They showed up within a week, and sure enough they were Altamas. I quickly ordered another pair, which also showed up within a week.

I have ordered from them more than once without problem, but a buddy ordered from them and had nothing but trouble. I agree with the previous poster that it seems to be hit or miss with them.
Good luck!

I ordered a Mitch helmet from them and I got it without a problem but that is the only time I've ordered from them.

I have ordered from them several times. Their prices are great if they send you what you order. I ordered a Streamlight TLR2 with laser and got the TLR-1 with no laser but charged for the more expensive TLR-2. It took to months to clear it up and only with the help of American Express. Biotach would just yes me to death saying they would fix the problem and they did eventually send the right product but would not credit me for the returned product.
Sometimes they are great and sometimes there is no one home. Like flipping a coin.
I would order from them again but only if I was not in a rush and only using American Express.

I used to order from them but about a year ago or so they just dropped off. Extended waiting periods for in stock items, nobody answering the phone and lost orders. I used to buy a lot of 3 volt lithium batteries from them $20 for 20.

Recent Botach Order Results

I ordered a Leupold Mark 4 CQT Scope and a quick release mount for my DPMS from Botach on 17 NOV 08 (prior to reading the entries in this thread). After submitting my order and reading the negative comments posted I was sure that my money was gone and that I was in for a long battle with Botach to get my refund or scope. Approximately 6 days later my order was delivered (UPS) to NC, a brand new (in the sealed box) scope and a scope mount. Saved approximately $75 over the next best price on the pair. No problems here but I will be wary of any future orders from them based on the groups overwhelmingly negative comments.

I never received a shipment confirmation so I was getting anxious, but the product arrived within a week. Average customer relations, but their services seem to be fine.

used to be a decent place, but I think that they grew too fast. They had problems with stuff not being in stock and long wait times for it to be shipped, but they will charge your card really fast and you just have to wait.

other places to go with the same or cheaper prices and their stuff is in stock.

check blackhawk, midway, natchez or midsouth.

I've had several uneventful orders fulfilled by them. Though stories abound of others having problems. I've been lucky, I guess.

I went to order a pair of gloves through them. As I was checking out I realized that they wanted $15.00 to ship a 3 ounce pair of gloves by standard ups ground (the cheapest rate BTW). No sale!

Botach Tactical

Hello.
My name is Dan and I'm a rep from Botach Tactical.
I have read through your complaints and would like to help you with this matter as we are deeply committed to rectifying any mistakes made.

We ship out thousands of orders a day, and unfortunately there are orders that slip between the cracks or get mis-handled, however making excuses certainly doesn't help your situation. I would like to rectify the experience you have had and I encourage you to contact me.

[email protected]

Please let me know the issue you had, if you had a problem with any of our staff and what I can do to help you.
Please include as much information as you can, i.e order number, shipping zip code, name.

Kind Regards
Dan

sorry man, but i already have been burnt by your company in the past and have read too many threads on this and the other forums that even as of recent seems that your company is still not on the up and up.

Even though you guys had the lowest price on an Eberlestock X-1 pack recently, i ended up going with a company I know would deliver on time and as described and if i had problems with the order I knew would return my calls or emails (Cabelas).

My suggestion to you would be to get rid of the folks responsible for the customer service side and get new ones and also not advertise a product in stock when it really is not in stock and instead is in a warehouse somewhere else. I realize that you are selling products that your distributor has in stock and you actually are just the reseller and most likely can not afford to have many of the items in stock in your store due to cost and instead are taking the order and customers money, then placing order with your distributors and then waiting for them to deliver to you before you ship to the customer.

not a bad business practice, just you should make your customers aware of this.

Always nice to see a company make an effort; but seriously? I can find nasty reviews of Botach and problems with them from recently all the way back to 2000 - and that is just on THIS website.

Nine years is a little long to wait to begin remediating your customer service image.

We are a large business, and yes, there are some negative opinions out there. We have taken strides to ensure quality in our business.

Please note that many of the negative reviews you see are written by our competitors posing as customers.

We are here to help all our customers.

so,

many of the posters on this forum and on THR, I know and some I have even met and many of us have been on this and the other forum for over 3 years and have many posts

and according to you we are just on here as members of competitors with a sole intent of bashing your company

yeah right!

and i guess you think we are also the shooters on the grassy noll.

only thing I can say to botach member posting is that he/she needs to remove their tinfoil hat. we are not a consipiracy to put you out of business (you are doing a good job of that just based on your business practices)

we are just customers that you have burned over the many years and are trying to prevent others from following in our footsteps/mistakes.

Don't Bother

Horrible company with horrible service. They are the worst when it comes to shipping charges. There are other, better, websites to choose from than this one. :barf::barf::barf::barf:

Well the one I posted from 2000 was not from a competitor posing as a customer, it was just me... though I can't speak to whether you have improved since I haven't ordered from you since then. All I can say is that if all of those complaints are from your competitors, you should have no problem beating them since they are spending way too much time surfing gun forums
