Mauser Bayonet ID
Gentlemen,
I received this piece as part of a group of K98 bayonets a year or two ago. It fits my 1943 German K98 mauser but it has a barrel ring, blade & scabard begin narrowing from the hilt to the tip instead of the last couple inches before the point as with my others and what apperas to be Russian script near the hilt of the blade. It's a curiosity to me. Any ideas? Have a happy new year everone!! Garand Fan |

Thanks, Guys.
Now I have to decide if I should sell the bayonet or get a Yugo mouser to go with it! |

That's a no brainier...Look for a M24/52C (yugo refurb of the VZ24) or a M1924. Those are my two favorite Yugo Mausers.
