US Army sniper/spec ops MSG Randy Shugart(who earned a Medal of Honor after he died) used a M-14 7.62mm custom rifle in Restore Hope.
He reportedly had around 28 EKIAs(enemy killed in action) at the scene in Somolia(1993). Shugart disliked the M4s & used the 7.62 round as much as he could for spec ops missions.
I watched a good video from a trauma surgeon conference on the impact of caliber choice on gunshot wounds. His general conclusions was that handgun ammunition is relatively the same, while rifle calibers show a lot more variation in wound pattern.

Most left handed USPSA shooters use their left index finger on the mag release with zero issues.
As a ordinary right handed shooter I would really like to try out a pistol with a right index finger mag release.
I cant reach most mag releases with my right thumb without repositioning the gun anyway, I always kinda like goofing around with it in my left hand, the mag release works great thata way.
I really down know why the right right side hasnt been done yet, so far the Walthers are as close as its come...

My son-in-law lives in San Bernadino county. I told him I would pay for the CCW classes. When I tried to find the procedure to get CCW, it was a morass. I couldn't make sense of it. Finally, I told him to go through the procedure and let me know when he got to CCW class.
He later emailed me to say he had started the procedure and was told to come back in a year for his appointment.
It's a disaster out there.
This is not close to accurate. San Bernardino Sheriff runs ccw classes monthly....I see them on a regular basis. Self defense is an acceptable reason for the permit. It will take a year if you dont submit the paperwork done correctly. If you fill out the paperwork and schedule the state mandated training as soon as you can it is just a few weeks. If you dont live in an area handled by the sheriff you need to deal with your own police. San Bernardino county is gun friendly and the sheriffs dept goes out of its way to run ccw classes as well as HR 218 courses regularly. And NO I was never a member of this department.
