Dad gave me grandpa's old singleshot 16ga when I moved out of the house some years back. I knew it was too old and had been too many miles to be used anymore. I never messed with it till I found TFL. Maybe someone can help me find out a little about it.
I can't make out the first word of the mfg but the rest is "...Allen Arms Co." in Norwich, Conn. The only other markings I can find are V5964 behind the triggerguard and on the barrel under where the shell goes.
On the metal part of the forearm there is a 4 and a 5 on either side. ...Any ideas?
Thanks.
