I have a new SA 1911 - stainless, cocobolo grips. I've fired about 300 rounds through it. After removing the grip screws the grips will not come off on either side. I have tried gently prying with a knife between the grip and frame - no luck.

Any suggestions?

Mike, take the handle of the knife, insert in the mag well and gently tap the grips from the inside. George

George;

Thanks! That did it. There was a lot of crud under the grips.
