Need a VERY specific scope...

It needs to be less than $100
Gun cost me $60, I just want a descent scope for plinking

The tube has to be 1" and SMOOTH or it won't work with my mount.
Has to be like this -

The turrets cannot bulge, cannot be like this -

Gonna be on a 30-06.
Any suggestions or advice? Thanks.

^^ I have the same scope. sits on my mosin and takes lots of abuse. love it.

I have had for over 2 years, started on .223, then to 9mm, now on 54r. thousands of rounds under it, holds perfect. this is the 9x illuminated reticle one at academy for like 79 or 89 bucks. I really like it for what it is. great for 300yd and under, my only dislike is I wish the reticle was a little finer since it can cover the bull after 200 yards

I think they may even sell at Wal-Mart now. it's the bushnell banner series

What is the item number for your scope? I think it should be located on the bottom of the tube.

the one that shows up on amazon under that number sure looks different than mine. but they could just e using a generic pick. if I were you, I would go back academy, if you have one, and just look. I got the last one my academy had, got the floor model at a huge discount.

Wal-Mart seems to charge about 20$ too much for theirs, bt may be worth checking at the store

Thanks for the suggestion and you're right. For some reason, only older scopes seem to lack the bump.

Unfortunate update...
I got this mount for my poor man gun, because the rings that came with the gun were bent and couldn't hold my scope tightly. $10.

Here's the problem - my rings aren't detatchable. Never seen a weaver like it, ordered it because I figured it'd hold pretty good compared to detachable. Now it won't hold a scope at all

I have no way of inserting a scope with an Ocular Lens larger than the 1" tube. Am I correct in this?

What kind of scope is this mount made for? Any info on it?
Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Those rings were spread apart then slipped over the scopes 1" tube, pinched back together and screwed tight. It's Weaver's early model that later was changed to what your link shows.

I can only pry open the rings about 1/8 inch at max... I don't see how a scope could ever be inserted that way - it's not close to flexible enough.

The mount you have is for scopes similar to the old Lyman Alaskan (I believe it actually had a 7/8 inch tube). The eyepiece is unscrewed and removed to slide through the rings. These type scopes are not sealed. You can see some examples on ebay.

Also the scopes you are looking for to fit that mount will all be fixed power and
the turrets will be closer to the front of the scope rather than being in the middle. There are many of these scopes still in service and they still work fine.
With the limitation that they can fog up if you are using them in wet weather if they are not well covered up. You may wish to go to a different mount if you want a sealed variable power scope. Idaho Gaiters
