H-380 for M1?

Loaders:

I was given a couple of pounds of H-380. I plan to use for my 22-250, but is it too slow for 30-06 to be fired in my M1? (Too long pressure curve, bent operating rod) Thanks!

For an M1 -- nothing heavyer than 180gr
no powder slower than 4064

My best loads for an M1 are with 155gr and 175gr useing 4895 and Varget

H380 is actually around the same burning rate as 4064. I load Lake City brass with 52.0 of H380 over a 150 grain Sierra, and CCI 250 primers. It works just fine in my gas gun. The 22-250 will love it as well. If I had to chose just one powder to load all my rifle cartridges bigger than a 223, H380 would be right there at the top. I use it in 22-250,257,243,308,30/06,7/08,6mm, and 25/06 with lighter bullets. Nary a bobble, and darn fine accuracy in all.
