Beretta 92FS problem..........
I have a Beretta 92FS. Upon cleaning it I noticed that after locking the slide back, looking at the rotating firing pin block from behind, a crack in the metal on the lower left hand side where the metal is surrounding the rotating pin. Did I confuse you yet? Can anybody do me a favor and pull out your 92FS to see if it is supposed to be there or not? In other words, looking from behind you can see how the metal is cut out in a circular fashion for the rotating safety that blocks the firing pin. At the bottom left, about 7:00 oclock, of the circle there is a gap that I hadn't noticed before. Any help is appriciated.

Yep, got one of those in my 92 and 96. Guess it's supposed to be there. Well since it is suppose to be there, we can stop calling it a crack and call it an opening.
