Frangible Bullets ???????
Went to the gunshow last week, afella stopped me and said have a bullet. He started telling me about frangible bullets and their ballistics. now I don't doubt him but if anyone has used them I'd rather hear from a shooter that loads them. If you want to take a look at them they're at www.frangiblebullets.com Thanks for any input. Luck hotdog

frangible bullets
I got some from West Coast Bullets, they were given to me to try with one of my regular orders.
I thought the accuracy was awfull. But that just could have been my gun. If you would like to try them I think west coast is still giving out samples. Give them a call. Here is there link. West Coast Bullets

I wouldn't necessarily recommend this, but many years back I stuck a few 158 gr soft point jacketeds .38/.357 bullets into my casting pot - melted the lead core out which left me with a goodly sized empty jacket.
Filling these up with #6 (or ?) shot & a dab of expoxy/RTV over the nose to weigh up to the same all 'round. Whipped up a powder loading & shot 'em - could've gone much higher with the powder, but ended up figuring really, what's the point? Poor man's "mag-safe"/"glasers" .... All usual disclaimers apply .... |
