Shell Help

I am looking to buy shells in bulk, maybe 250-500 count. I have checked around and CheaperThanDirt seems to be the least expensive for the Wolf 00 buckshot 2 3/4" shells.
Is Wolf a decent shell? Are there better brands for a reasonable price?
I am shooting a Remington 870 12gauge, and I just use it for HD and target practice.
What is a decent or recomended target load? I have some #2 Rem. Express steelshot I am going to use today up at the mountain.
Any help will be great, Thanks!

Each shotgun is a law unto itself as to what works best. However, good ammo does a better job all in all.

Wolf will work, though it spreads more than I prefer at 25 yards. Fed Classic does nicely in most shotguns, and the Winchester generic 00 also.

Old Estate 00 R/R was the best I found, but they changed the load when ownership changed. Newer stuff is OK, but not as good.

Suggestion,. buy a mess of 5 packs, test at the bench until one brand shows as best. Buy plenty of that one.

Birdshot loads work for practice, both at "Serious" type COFs and for waging war on evil little clay discs.

HTH....

Check Ammoman . Eric has a good variety and the price is the price.
