308 CETME
I just ran across some information concerning surplus 308 CETME ammunition. It seems this is compatable with a 7.62X51 chamber, but the load is much milder. I have a K11 that has been converted I was thinking I might be able to shoot it through without any worries.
Make sense? I have never seen it for sale but someone says they found it in bulk recently at decent prices. Anyone know where? |

Really no such animal as "308 CETME", it is 7.62 CETME, and it is essentially a light loaded 7.62x51/.308 round. It would be safe in just about any 7.62/.308 chambered gun.

I got some from grafs a few months ago
its fairly cheap and the recoil is really mild but its also corrosive funny thing is it is to mild to work the action on a cetme (semi only from cia) |

thanks for correcting the nomenclature. Did a little better on google with the correct term.
Still didn't see any in stock anywhere though. |

Yes, you would reload CETME as any other .308-7.62 round, just using lighter bullets and/or powder charges.
