So the Brits are having a Billy Dixon shoot (Sept. 2010)

at 1,000 and 1,200 yards distance. Here's their target.

Very non-PC, but appropriate for the theme.

Actually, they'll be running the shoot in Sept. Here's a link to Creedmooreshooting's facebook page where I found it. http://www.facebook.com/#!/creedmoorshooting?ref=ts

No, you read it right the first time. I edited it to reflect it was a future event.

That's great!

The Brits are endlessly fascinated with the American West.

Frontier - are you going to the Ben Avery Range for the National Muzzle Loading Association's Western Championship shoot? There's a little historic village just north of it (literally on the other side of the hill) that is worth visiting.

I wish they had a shoot with targets shaped like Hadendoas or Ashantis or Zulus so I could use my Webley-Pryce No 4, whilst screaming "take that ya bloody wog", or "Eghad, the Fuzzy Wuzzies are through the zariba, CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGE!"

I do rather hope no officers get hurt
