Some how I don't see S&W going under.
The "FEAR" fueled gun buying I think will slow down. But that was for ARs and such. The fastest growing gun sports seems to be 3-Gun and USPSA type shooting an S&W M&P models are quite popular in these sports. Plus under the current climate of riots, knock out games, car jacking, etc. sales of defensive handguns are growing. I teach women's SD classes and encourage women not to buy a gun until they have fired several to see what fits them and their needs. I see the same thing in my CC classes. The over all most popular choice is the J-Frames Smiths. No sir, Every business has its ups and downs, high and lows, but Smith and Wesson will weather this storm. Of course that doesn't mean I wont buy another Smith or Two in the future but I probably would anyway. After every USPSA match I attend, I swear my next match will be fired with a M&P, or at least when I can convince my self I'm at a disadvantage shooting these with my M-64 Revolver.

Interesting, but not enough commentary to clear the drive-by hurdle.
Accordingly, closed.
