Hi folks

been a while since a post a comment, today i would like to ask you if you know why theres wax in the 22lr ammo, exactly in the bullet???

im from mexico , and here the "best" brand is EL AGUILA, the only problem is that the bullet has a big and dick layer of wax, that make the 1022,and other rifles to jam after just 50 bullets.

can someone help to understand these?

thanks.

The wax is for lubrication to prevent the bullet metal from rubbing off into the bore and building up a thick deposit. That deposit can ruin accuracy until you clean it out. It is not easy to clean out.

If the bullets have too much wax, take a rag and rub away some of it, but not all of it.
