Hi folks
been a while since a post a comment, today i would like to ask you if you know why theres wax in the 22lr ammo, exactly in the bullet???
im from mexico , and here the "best" brand is EL AGUILA, the only problem is that the bullet has a big and dick layer of wax, that make the 1022,and other rifles to jam after just 50 bullets. can someone help to understand these? thanks. |

The wax is for lubrication to prevent the bullet metal from rubbing off into the bore and building up a thick deposit. That deposit can ruin accuracy until you clean it out. It is not easy to clean out.
If the bullets have too much wax, take a rag and rub away some of it, but not all of it.
