I just scored 8lbs of IMR-8208 XBR to load .223

Midsouth shooters supply had it in stock tonight, but not for long! 30 minutes after I placed my order for an 8lb keg, it went out of stock!

Another awesome score with perfect timing!

Did you have it on backorder?

There is a pending shortage of several powders in my loading room, and a couple of online vendors will not allow backorders at this point. Congrats!

Its all about the timing. Glad you got some. Most places are out of anything to do with 223,308,7.62 ! I guess it will be another month before things settle down a bit since bummer left it up to congress to work up a ban on mil. type guns.
Enjoy loading, be safe.

Your pretty lucky that you found a powder that you can use, it's getting pretty slim here around Kansas City, but I have faith it'll blow over and we'll be back in business in no time.

Natchez

I just got a couple of email notifications that Natchez has IMR 4198 and IMR 4064. Placed an order just now.

They have H4350, but damn if I'm gonna spend forty bucks to have one type of powder shipped to me.

I have no problem sitting back and waiting for the hysteria to die down for a couple of months and stocks be replenished.

People aren't shooting more, they're just hoarding. Once they've "hoarded up", the shelves will be overflowing again.

yep tobnpr. I don't hoard but I did plan ahead before this election and made sure I had enough of everything to get me through the summer. This seems like it will be a short one and I think by June or July normality shall return, at least till the next election
