starting load for 38spl
I am looking for a light starting load with AA 2 (imp.) and 158gr CLSW. Their website lists 4.0gr as max. but no min. I normally use W231 powder but I ran out this morning loading 45's, and AA2 is all I have left and I'm headed to the range in the morning.
by the way this is for an airweight centennial (old).

I would try about 3.5 grains if you intend to work up toward max. Maybe as low as 3.0 if you want a low power load.

What I see in my book (Speer #12), is a lotta "DNR" (Do NOT Reduce) on AA powders, but those listings are for jacketed bullets. AA#2 is only listed for lead bullets here for 148gr HB-WC, with a min/max of 2.7/3.1
