Pre-season Photo of encouragement
I thought my spot was going to suffer this season because of development happening in the area. I'm still not sure how many will be hanging around by the time rifle season opens, but here is a picture I got off my trail cam that made me really happy.
Deer typically don't come out until after 10pm where I live, but in this case there's two velvet bucks just hanging out at 1pm. The one on the left is definitely my favorite, and he doesn't look that old so I'm thinking he might be even better next year. |

Looks good to me.
I was exciting to see one on the side of the Garden State Parkway this evening. Possibly the first buck I've seen in months. Good luck this season. |
