Remington Model 10

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a butt plate for a Remington model 10. The one I have has been cracked for quite a while and has finally broken completely. This is a family heirloom that has been passed down for 3 generations and I want to keep it in good shape. I have looked at Numrich but they had none. If anyone has a lead on one or even two please let me know.

Thank You,

My guess is that trying to find an original buttplate for a 100-year old shotgun will be frustrating. Check out this one

or this one.

Thank You scorch,

The first one has the right thickness and I should be able to fit the plate if it's a bit wider. I appreciate your help, I've been checking gun broker and auction arms as well, lots of other parts for a mdl 10 but no butt plates.

Thank you again,

This Rem 10 was made in 1927, but my father did not shoot a pheasant with it until the late 1940s.

Some people might think of this a "blasphemy", but I'd just put on a thin recoil pad. No, it is not "original" but unless that old shotgun is in seriously mint condition you aren't going to do any real harm to the value by using a recoil pad.

Make your self a photo of it and a tracing of the buttstock and take them with you to gun shows, you'll eventually come across one....
