Is this a good deal?
Winchester Silvertips 10mm 175gr= $14.00 per box
Remington FMJ 10mm= $32.00 per box of 50rds. These are local so no shipping charges. |

ANY box of ammo you can snag for $17 these days is a winner.

I'd say in this market go for it. I bought the 175 Silver Tips a number of years ago before the prices went nuts and I think I paid $14. That was 9 years if I recall correctly.

Unfortunately, in today's market that's a good deal.

Okay, you already bought it.
Still, IMO, the Silvertip ammo is a fine deal. The R-P ammo is a lousy deal. Nothing fantastic about that stuff and the brass is the worst reloadable (non-aluminum) 10mm brass on the planet.

That's the cheapest for the Silvertips that I have seen. Most of the time they are a little over a dollar a round. Good deal.
The Remington UMC, that's about average price. Underwood has the 10mm FMJ for $27. Shipping is $7 for one box, but no sales tax. And, they are OOS at this time. |
