SWAT sponsorship of WC3gun
Rich,
My friends and fellow competitors would like to thank you and SWAT for picking up sponsorship of the World Championship 3-gun match In Las Vegas. It`s great to see someone step up and help out the people who put the match on, they always do an outstanding job, and with your help.. they can continue to do so in the future. I like the idea of the nite shoot for the team qualifier and side pistol match, I can`t wait to see what else is in store for the competitors when we get there. Hopefully you will be there so I can personally shake your hand. Scott Rutoski, (CS#158) |

Scott-
We got into the business specifically to have this kinda fun! It's our pleasure. I certainly hope to be there. Rich

Erick-
thought about it and would do it in a heartbeat. However, it's my understanding that this is an idividual competition. Rich

Scott,
Thanks for the kind words. We always appreciate being appreciated. Rich has been in contact with the Match Staff and It looks like they are going to field two teams. Make sure you take the opportunity to thank them in person. They are definitely helping to make a good thing better.

Sounds like a blast. I've just started getting into 3 gun this year, and it is probably my favorite kind of match. Unfortunatly I still suck at it.
Am I reading the application right? It is $300 to enter per person? |

Mike,
No problem, It`s the least I can do. Corriea, If your looking for a true test of you and your equipment, shoot this match, it definately separates the men from the boys. No wazzu raceguns allowed.. just real world gear. The stages are different every year and always a challenge. If the entry fee is a bit pricey to you, and you can make it out to watch, you should try to do it. That way you can get eyes on what your spending your money on and decide for yourself if it`s something youd like to try. take care, CS#158 |

Chandler, I do believe that I will try and make it. I've got relatives in Vegas that I could crash with. And September is a little bit off. Hmm...

INFORMATION ABOUT THE MATCH
I see that Rich has already listed the website URL, but here it is again. www.wc3gun.com
I am the Executive Officer for the match and I would be happy to answer any questions anyone has about the match. We still have some slots open, but anyone interested in shooting in the Match needs to get an application in soon. It's filling up pretty quickly now. We are also interested in sponsors for the Match and I can answer questions about that as well. Be sure and look for our advertisement in the June issue of SWAT Magazine, thanking all our sponsors for last year. If you haven't heard of the Match, it has been held every year for the last 15 years, but was formerly named the SOF World Championship 3 Gun Match. It has a reputation as one of the best tactical 3 gun events on the calendar. Ask around, I'm sure you will hear good things from those who have shot in it.

Mike,
Do you have any people looking for shooters that want to shoot on a team? Ron and I tried to get a team together, but it just fell thru. I am going to be available, and would like to shoot on a team at the match. Rich, If you don`t have enough shooters for a full team for your TFL teams, let me know. I would love to shoot with you. Ron told me to tell you thanks again for the scope ruling, and he wanted to know if it was going to be called the "Proudlock rule"?? Thanks guys, Scott Rutoski (CS#158) Last edited by ChandlerSniper158; April 7, 2002 at 10:49 AM. |

Scott,
We can help you put a team together. Brenda handles those details. Send her an email ([email protected]) and let her know what you need to complete your team. She can usually fix something up. Tell Ron, no thanks necessary. I hadn't planned on giving the ruling a name, but he can call it that if it makes him feel good. Mike

I'm registered.
Been dryfiring and practicing reloads an hour a night. I've cut out little brown construction paper IDPA targets and have them taped up around the house. Oh yes, my wife loves it. |
