Reloading Equipment, Did I forget anything.

I am just getting back into reloading, I used to do it and loved it, but working 2 jobs never had time to do it. Now I have the photography studio and no part time job so should have plenty of time during the winter.

I made this order from Midway, and it should be in tomorrow, if I forgot something can pick it up today locally (I hope) I did not order my .45 Dies, can pick them up locally.

Thanks

Thats a pretty impressive list !!! You might want to think about a balance beam powder scale to be able to cross check your RCBS 1500. They can tend to need recalibrated now and again and this is the only way you will find out is by weighing a dropped charge on a mechanical scale . The only other tool I highly recommend is the Hornady OAL check tool to help you figure bullet seating depth for your rifles. It will pay for itself in just a few load developement projects. I dont see any reloading manuals listed and if you dont have one would recommend a new Lyman. The DVDs are nice but cant tote them around the house or use them for bedtime reading etc. etc. ,,, I Hope this helps you out. 10 SPOT

Yes that helps a bunch, and great tip on the scales. I never thought about that and I am guessing that even a 505 scale would be ok for this.

You can also buy check weights for the scale to verify accuracy.

Thanks Don, maybe it comes with check weights, I had some electronic scales before, seemed they came with check weights.

270 Win and 204 Ruger, sure you can get a BAR and AR in those calibers, but if they are for bolt actions, then get a neck-sizer die as well.

You might want to get the Redding shellholder set for ~$35. Has several of the common calibers.

Powder trickler? RCBS, Redding, Lyman, Hornady.

MTM case-gard are really nice. Berry's are cheap.

Since you have a pretty spendy setup, throw in a RCBS or Redding flash hole debur tool.

Tumbler, media, cleaner? Lyman, RCBS or Thumbler tumbler, corn cob and/or walnut, and Flitz.

Thanks everyone, I have enjoyed setting up my reloading bench today, minus all the equipment. I built the bench, installed the lights etc. Equipment should be here tomorrow.

I do still have my tumbler so I am good there.

I lucked out and when we purchased our new home and studio, the framing room was large, leaving a corner open for reloading so I have a room that is always heated, in the ground level so wife doesnt bother me much there.

Thanks for the welcome back and all the great help.

Oh yea, my .270 is a Remington 7600,(Pump) and I am telling you I lucked out. The loads I am shooting that I loaded a few years ago, I can completely cover 3 rounds with a quarter at 100 yards. Most accurate large caliber rifle I have ever owned.

Sometimes a de-burring tool is good.

Sounds like you will have a great setup. Much more than I started with many moons ago. Enjoy!

There are better places to shop then Midway, they sort of stick it to you with the shipping. In the future I suggest www.gunstop.com real world shipping!

I see the Trim Mate, but no trimmer.

I heartily recommend the Wilson Trimmer and case holders. A power driver adapter (for a drill motor, etc.) is also available for it.

Also the trim mate does not come with the primer pocket uniformer, de-crimper, or flash hole deburrer.
