spring installation in S&W 19 and Taurus 85
Can someone please provide diagrams or step-by-step directions on how to replace the rebound spring on the Smith and the main spring and trigger spring on the Taurus? I would like to install some new Wolff springs but feel somewhat challenged by these firearms' inner workings.

I just got the new springs in the Taurus. Since the Smith appears more complicated, I think I'll take a rain check on installing its new rebound spring.

The trigger rebound spring can be dicey, until you get or make the special tool, made for removal and installing the slide and spring! If not controlled, the spring will become a missle! Eye injury is possible! You might do a search for the tool and I think Brownell's still sell them. A good book to use is one On repair and tune-up for S&W revolvers. Can't remember the guy's name. Make sure to use a towel the first couple of times to cover the gun, until you develop a feel for the spring and the force it takes to remove it and wear safety glasses!
