Mossberg 935 reassemble Help need to go hunting

The slide got stuck half open, So I started taking it apart. well I took the trigger assembly out and don’t no how to put that back together, the slide is still stuck half open ,it will not move forward or back. Looking into were the trigger was I see that there is a metal shaft that is abut say 3" long with a the middle cut out . It seems to be shifted to the left does this need to go in to the butt of the gun?? If some one can reply with a link that shows a diagram of the full assembly of this gun would be great.

it literally took me 15 seconds on google to find this. the 500 is practically the same as the 535.
