Latest 1911s
I haven't been around here in quite a while but I've started to visit again. Yup, I like 1911s and I stumbled into this pair early this week. They are series 70 Combat Commanders (circa early 80's) in Satin Nickel. While neither is collector grade, they're in fine shape. I got them to the range on Tuesday and each performed flawlessly with 5 different mags (from CMC, Kimber, Colt, Wilson, and Tripp). The tiny GI sights are certainly not doing my old eyes any favors, but this pair was just to pretty to pass up...

Very nice looking pair of Colts there! I have a 9mm in nickel and I have to agree with you about the sights.
