I do use a powder baffle / I've never used a baffle on the shot side ...

I haven't changed powders in several years / just the amount of the powder drop to change the velocity for the load I want. If I wasn't loading for the grandkids or for new shooters / I'd load 1oz shells in 12ga at about 1225 fps for 99% of my own needs in 12ga.

In 12ga I load Hodgdon Clays
In 20ga Hodgdon International ( but its too hot for a tubed gun )
28ga Hodgdon Universal
.410 Hodgdon LilGun

BigJim, sorry for any confusion, I meant plural baffles as in multiple loaders, not two baffles on one loader. Your powder selection is a lot more contemporary than mine. My loaders are set up for:

12-ga Green Dot
20-ga Green Dot
28-ga Green Dot
.410 H-110

Ok, .... yes I have powder baffles on each loader.

Green Dot ... a good universal choice.
