maverick 88 trigger
has anyone managed to reassemble the triger assembly in the maverick 88? one of my mates was trying to be nice and decided to clean my gun and took the whole assembly apart, i have managed to put it all to gether except for the smallest spring thingy i have no idea where it goes.
as far as i can tell it still works fine, saftey, cocked, half cocked, and firing pin all work as normal. any help on this would be helpful |

Half cocked ? I think you may have a problem.
As far as i know there is no half cocked .As far as longarms go.On my Maverick trigger group the hammer is either fully rearward "cocked" or fully forward "fired position" there is no other inbetween position. Now would be a good tme to call Mossberg ! As for the half cocked problem i would'nt even chamber a round let alone load the gun . Get it checked ! Bill |

mossberg shotguns have a half cock!
Yes there is a half cock. If you dry fire then open the action slightly then close and pull the trigger, the hammer will fall from the internal half cock position.
