.41 Avenger?
(As I just posted to another thread about an Astra, I have recently acquired from 25 years of storage following his death a number of guns owned by my father)
I've just acquired a Colt .45 Gold Cup, with a .41 Avenger conversion installed for an article written in American Handgunner Jan/Feb 1983. Unfortunately, following my father's passing all of his reloading equipment was sold off, doubtless including the kit's original Pacific dies. As I certainly assume one cannot buy .41 Avenger rounds, this leaves me a bit of a problem. Are the required dies something one can acquire reasonably, either new or used? Or is it simply preferable to reverse the conversion and return the gun to .45 ACP? Advice appreciated. |

Pgaert,
Sorry you didn't get first dibs on your dad's gear. C4HD will make you a set of dies. $83.01. Their part number DS41Ave. Also, the Goldcup can probably be unconverted back to .45 Auto if need be.
