slugs for 3-gun?

what slugs do you use? where do you get them?

I was using Rem sluggers reduced recoil. They were ok, but i ran out at my last shoot. A friend gave me Wolf low recoil slugs. Much better follow up shots and easier on the should after 16 rounds.

The problem I had with Rem reduced recoil was they did not shoot straight and I had to hold left, like half a USPSA target at 50 yds. Also, they did not reliably cycle my 1100 in cold weather.

Low Recoil Federal, either Hydrashok or Truball, shoot straight, but they have about 100fps more so they recoil more. The LE version (LEB127LRS) is nice because the hulls are blue and it is easy to distinguish them on the fly for selective reloads (birdshot green, slugs blue, buckshot red).

For you --- Whatever works and is available.

I use Fed or Rem reduced recoil / tactical. These shoot to pretty much POA in my Benelli.

I tried some S&B and they were way off.

Federal Tac I got from Ammoman, and Rottweil Brennekes I Googled around for and found without any trouble on line. Don't remember where

Easiest way might even be from Cabela's, where I bought some low recoil Federal TruBall. Or standard velocity, if you like. They had a good selection and they'll mail it to you or you can pick it up at your local store.

I'd check with Midway USA, also.

Streichers is another possible source, and so is Cheaper than Dirt.

Thanks for the tip.
Apparently, Fiocchi makes two versions of the low recoil slugs, both one ounce and seven eights ounce loads.
(Both are priced about the same at 10 rounds for $8).
Any real world difference when using the lightest ones?

I shoot a Benelli M2 with a lightened bolt and an M1 with a stock bolt. Since Benellis are recoil driven I went with the 1 oz because they can have cycling issues with really light loads. I haven't tried the 7/8 oz but I have heard of other benelli's not running with them. The only negative thing about the fiocchis is that they are longer than standard shot and slugs so they are a little tougher to get out of most shotshell caddies. On the flip side they don't come out when you run either.

If you are runni g a gas gun you might het away with the 7/8 oz. The cheapest place I found to buy them was cheaper than dirt. Lemme know if u find a better source.
