Bound Book Entries

I recently consigned 6 guns through an auction service. In my book do I list the auction co. as the buyer or do I need the names & adresses of the individual winners of the auction. ( the auction co. also holds a FFL. )

Since you've already made a transfer, I would list the auction company FFL holder. They should have made an acquisition entry for your guns when received and will make the final disposition to the buyers. Your entry should be a mirror entry of theirs, they list guns received from you, you list guns sent to them. There should be an entry when a transfer is made, not when title passes to a final purchaser.

I was thinking the same. But it's my 1st. sale / transfer so I thought I'd check. Thanks.

Agreed. The Auction Company (holding an FFL) should have recorded them received from you and THEY would be responsible for the 4473, etc. I have both acquired and disposed of some through this fashion. I HOPE that's right. hehe

If you want to be safe...

You'll want to retain a copy of the auction company's FFL.
