Gastonia, NC Sniper Comp

The 2nd annual Gastonia Sniper comp will be held in Sept of 2008. Last years comp was very competitive, organization was top notch and the prizes were unbelievable.

There is going to be a civi shoot this year.

Why prohibit qualified shooters who are neither LEO nor military from shooting "heads-up" against the field?

I have no idea. I have run the course and it is kick ass. You will definitely want to stay at the sponsoring hotel, had a blast last year drinking beer and letting the stories flow.

Zak, my friend, you already know the answer to your question, don't you? It's because the LEO and military guys don't want to suffer defeat at the hands of a civvy who is a better shooter. You know, they're supposed to be "the best shooters in the world"...

probably the opportunity to shoot a lot more than the average person, on uncle sam's dime... that's my guess, that and formal training and such, with the facilities that make that training more effective. or they might bring their badass LE/military guns?
