300 Win Mag brass

I've been looking for Winchester(WW Super) 300 win mag brass for over two years. Has anyone seen any of this stuff anywhere in the last couple years?

I could use a couple hundred pieces if anyone knows where some can be found.
Thanks

It looks like you are looking for Winchester brass in that caliber but the best I can do offhand is to refer you to www.westernbullet.com/300winmag.html for Remington cases at $18.28 per new box of 20. Western Bullet Co. is in Montana and delivery time has been around two weeks. Minimum order amount is $30.

After 1929 Winchester did not exist. Winchester became Western, as in WW, Winchester Western. Then there was 'Super' as in Super speed and super 'X'.

I have to retract my post #2; I just checked availability of the Remington cases and they are out of stock. Next bet is to try www.grafs.com They show availability of Federal .300 Win mag brass at $68 per 100. Availability of stand alone Federal brass is unusual and I will jump at some myself. Graf also shows Hornady and Nosler brass at a considerably higher price. But note that the Federal brass is what is called "pull down brass" meaning that it was previously loaded rounds, never fired, and disassembled to primed brass.

There is not much I do not have when it comes to WW, WWC, WRA, Winchester, I have cases with 'SUPER' on the head stamp, all of my cases with 'SUPER' on the head stamp also a word that follows super.

Meaning I do not have cases with the word 'super' only.

I have plenty of cases that are headstamped with W-W Super only and then followed by the caliber; they are .458 Win mags and some .375s. Other .375s and .338s are stamped Super-X or Super Speed followed by the caliber. Perhaps what the OP is looking for may no longer be available in new brass; haven't had to buy any new brass for quite some time. Some of mine still have the price tag attached for $3.36 per box. Don't seem to have any Winchester .300 Win mag brass, all Remington or Federals. There was recently a good buy from Graf & Sons on Federal .300 Win mag pull down cases, I bought 100, but they now seem to be out. Most of the pull downs had a headstamp date, suggesting they were originally military sniper rounds.

There is a plenty of Hornady 300WM brass at $1 ea around and plenty of Nosler 300WM brass around at $1.50 ea.

My 300WM range reports date back to 2005.
I seem to have hoarded big bags of once fired WW and Federal 300WM brass.

If I were getting into it today, I would just buy the Hornady or Nosler brass.
I only fire 50 ~ 100 rounds of belted magnum per year in target practice.

I do not have 300 Win mag cases with dates, I am the fan of different head stamps, for me different head stamps is another way to sort cases after tumbling. I sort cases in groups of 20.

When it comes to 'the best' case nothing stands up the worst of chambers. I had the ugliest chamber ever cut, it was in A Model 70 Winchester. I sent the rifle back to Winchester, we had words. I wanted a chamber that fit my dies or a Winchester die that fit their chamber. Winchester sent the rifle back in a new box.

Honestly... I don't know if Winc. still even makes "WW Super" headstamped brass.

I would e-mail Winc. and ask.

Here is some "Pulldown" Federal brand primed cases...

Good price, $49 per 100 and free shipping it says. Go for it whether you shoot .300 Win mags or not; will make you want to get one. Rocky Mountain Reloading, hadn't heard of them before. OP take note that probably what you are looking for, W-W Super followed by .300 Win Mag on the headstamp, is not available as new brass anymore. I would certainly, as I have already done, get the Federal pull downs. The W-W Super followed by the caliber headstamp cases that I have are the yellow boxes and go back quite a ways.

"Sent the rifle back in a new box"; does that mean there was also a new rifle in the box (trying to read between the lines)?

Have you considered buying new loaded ammo? Checking one of my suppliers I find new Winchester 150 gr PP Super X for 23.32 per box of 20. Not much more than others have listed for brass. Considering the cost of bullets and having brass that was fired in your rifle, sounds like a bargain to me.

It sounds like the OP wants the casehead to read "WW-Super 300 Win Mag" and that nothing else will do. Some of us are thinking that headstamp is no longer available in new brass or factory rounds. Maybe he will accept your next best choice.

Can't quite make out the headstamp but looks like it may come close, if not exactly, to the desired real thing, WW-Super 300 Win Mag. Buy it now for 100 cases at $70 is certainly a good enough price.

I have a few of the (22 pcs) mentioned hulls, they have W-W Super -300 Win Mag on the head. Don't know where I got them or how long I've had them. I suspect they are once fired hulls that I picked up at a range. Make me an offer, like pay the shipping and I'll send them to you at no charge.

If you are interested send me a pm.

Joe

Spoken for as of 9/11/15.

50 new pieces for $36 and it sounds like exactly what the OP is looking for; are you still there and paying attention?

Be a sport and tell him where your LGS is located. You are saying that you saw some there last night.
