Does Virginia require registration?
Figured some of our VA members would know.
My lady is applying for a nurse position at a Virginia hospital; if she gets it, we'll probably move this summer. I've never lived in a state that had firearms registration. I don't know if Virginia does or not. Anybody know? Thanks. |

No registration except for machine guns. Handgun conceal carry permits are shall issue and fairly easy to get. No license required to buy long guns or hand guns. Limit of one handgun every 30 days, unless you have a CPP or fill out some forms and get the purchase pre-approved by the State Police. Open carry does not require permit, concealed carry does.
If you do move here check out two good VA sites for firearms http://www.vcdl.org/ http://vagunforum.net/ |
