Need help w.sig556 sights
i'd like some advice on which flip up rear sight would be good for my 556.
i'm also thinking of investing in an ACOG, but i'm not really too sure which one i should get or the real differences. any advice would be greatly appreciated. thank you. |

GotGlock19,
That thing seems like it's mounted really high. How can you possibly get a decent "cheek weld"? I noticed you don't mind getting yours wet. Be careful, and use a good protectant like Eezox or CLP. The exterior steel parts on those guns have little to no protective coating. The left side safety lever on mine had a good deal of rust on it when I went to pick it up last week. I was not happy.

Its not as high as it looks but i am getting a Larue mount to drop it down 1/4 inch closer to the bore. It not because of the weld but i want the ability to remove the scope and not loose zero. I use weapon-shield on everything and lithi-shield on the interior rails, no issue with any rust and that rifle was really wet when i was done with it.
