If you don't need it immediately, I would recommend the Winchester 1300.

None of the above....
870s just do not wear out, keep working under adverse conditions, and will serve your great grandchildren well. Neither the 1300 or 500 are duds. Both are good shotguns, the 870s is a great shotgun. If I had to choose, I'd probably go with the Winchester. Preach mode off... |

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I was headed to the store today to purchase one or the other (figured I'd know which one when I got there).
However, the woman of the house decided she needed a new vacuum cleaner instead. So, she got herself a nice new Hoover, and I got, well.......um......nothing. Thanks anyway, though. |
