Copy Cat M1911 with an original set of M1911 Double Diamond Colt Grips. The original Remington grips lack the smooth warmth of these old ones.

Here's some home-made ones on a few of my Rugers. CaryC of CLC grips taught me how to get the grip hole, and frame properly aligned, as well as the cutout for that @*$&%^#$* internal grip safety. Thanks Cary. Best Regards, Rod
Cocobola in these, as I recall. Plain walnut on these. This pair is from an old poplar horse fence rail. The gun was photographed on the other end of the same board! Rosewood here...

Well, these are nice. Red oak with a badge concho installed.
These are bone, and I really like the way they came out. Both sets made by my son. |

Oakie, That thing looks like it could be seriously dangerous in hand to hand combat not to mention using it as a handgun.

WOW. I guess I opened up a bag of worms, all the grips are beautiful. A nice set of grips can do so much for your guns, it's a pleasure. Thanks Chris

Some beautiful grips out there! Here are a couple of mine.
Esmeralda's: The next sets were gifts by a member of another forum who wanted to remain anonymous. Needless to say, I was speechless. Pics aren't very good. The first two were made by forum member Sarge43 of www.thefinergrain.com. These ebony grips really look much nicer in person: Finally, a set of stag grips: |
