most accurate 6mm bullet?

we have only been using the 70gr sierra match in our 6mm ppc,what would be a good 2nd choice? berger,lapua,barts. heck I am not sure

the barrel is a douglas 1 in 12 twist. how heavy of bullet weight can we go for maximum accuracy.

I used to shoot the Hornady 87 gr HPBT out of my 243, but I noticed that now there is also a 75 gr VMax. Have you tried it? Just as as a rule, with that slow of a twist, you will have difficulty shooting anything over 90 gr through a 1:12" twist barrel. VLD bullets will have similar difficulties due to their length.

hey,scorch is this a normal twist for 6mm ppc 1 in 12

this is the first ppc rifle we have ever had. I do not mean to burn everybody out with so many questions about this round

Since the PPC is primarily used as a target round, the 1:12" twist is probably OK. An awful lot of 100 yd benchrest matches are shot with light bullets. However, if you switch to varmint matches (where you shoot 100 yds, 165 yds, 200 yds and 220 yds) then you might want to use heavier bullets. In that case, the 1:12" twist will prove to be a limitation because it will not stabilize long, heavy bullets (like the VLD Berger). Try out a few different bullet weights and settle on one that works.

BTW, how is that rifle shooting?

so far so good h322 seems to be ok it will shoot small groups that you can cover with a dime (5 shots) a few fliers, you know the 5th shot outside the group

that being my fault

but overall it going pretty good I think.considering its only the first loads we are working with. I will put some pics on here as soon as I get that figured out. going to try some benchmark
powder on the next loads.

Yeah, that last shot that falls outside is a bugger. That NEVER happens to me!
